Description
This four-day, summer camp session will be July 15-18, Monday- Thursday 10:00am -1:00pm, for ages 7 and older, and will include a meal prepared during camp each day. Total cost for week of camp is $300 per participant.
Global Food Tour- Summer 2024: Asian Flavors. We will explore the flavors of other cultures including: China, Japan, Thailand, and India. Some of the dishes prepared with include: Butter Chicken, Chai, Pad Thai, Fried Rice, Egg Drop Soup, Moo Shu, Sushi, and other tasty dishes.
A broad range of topics will be taught that include: kitchen safety, basic kitchen skills, basic knife skills, menu planning, nutrition, how to understand (and follow) a recipe, and proper dish washing technique. If your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact us before booking. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class. Menu items prepared this week will contain peanuts and seafood.
Our camp has a very limited number of available seats. This non-refundable payment will cover camp for one child.
Campers will receive the food prepared in class each day, an apron, our recipes, and a certificate of completion at the end of their session.
Participants will be expected to conduct themselves appropriately. In addition to fun with food we will discuss health and nutrition. Please be aware that children who attend this program will be expected to taste at least one small bite of all we prepare- unless they have a food allergy. (Parents, thank you for supporting this policy.)
Note: Our doors will open 5 minutes prior to the beginning of class and children must be picked up promptly at the scheduled time, additional fees may be applied for late pickups. Due to the nature of this camp punctuality is essential.
